Adult Residential Facility
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily activities, including personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, etc.), meal preparation, and mobility assistance.
- Help clients with medication reminders and other health-related needs.
- Develop and follow individualized care plans to support clients’ physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Encourage and support clients in achieving personal goals and independence.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social, recreational, and community activities.
- Document client progress and report any changes in health, behavior, or condition to supervisors.
- Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a clean living environment.
- Advocate for the rights and well-being of clients, ensuring their dignity and independence are respected.
- Help with meal preparation, light housekeeping.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Follow a personalized care plan and report changes to the supervisor.
Education:
- 1 year experience preferred supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a California Driver’s License.
- Candidates must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.
- Direct Support Professional Certificate Year 1 & Year 2 (Preferred or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of hire).
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) (Preferred or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of hire).
- Must have First Aid / CPR.
- Current Physical and TB test (within Current yr).
